Weekend/End
of Season Entertainment Report updated
11/05/07 Friday:
Many gathered together at the celebration of Allison
Wagner entering into her teen years. Delicious
food was served while we shared stories which ended in
laughter. Happy Birthday Allison.
Campers began the sad countdown of the remaining of
the 2007 season. Preparations began to close
of their sites.
Saturday:
4:00 Bingo with Geo began with Geo reminding
everyone this being the last Saturday session in
2007. But she announced Bingo will resume the first
Saturday (mid April 2008- Date to be announced at a later
time) and Sunday at noon sessions will continue this
coming year as well. 40 players crammed in the
pavilion with a fire burning as they competed for the
coverall of $102.00. Michele (with one
"L") & Brent Dyniewski came in for the
(split) sweep. Congratulations Michele & Brent.
8:00 Slamming Shane & Karaoke Bob presented us
with
the final party of the year. Many gathered
together singing and dancing as they were determined not
to let this closing stop them from going out with a bang.
Rex allowed us to dance till our shoes fell off and sang
till our voices faded away.
9:30 Rex and Geo closed the sales of the Special
Raffle.
10:00 Rex announced Mr. & Mrs Dore as the luckiest
winners of the three.
Sunday:
12:00 Bingo with Geo still held strong. 37
campers gathered to fight for the final coverall of
2007. But Joyful Judy came in for the sweep of
$86.50. Congratulations Judy and it was a pleasure
to have you add your spunk to our family.
The Final closing of The campers' family vacation
homes with the exception of a few who stretched it
till it fullest (Monday/Tuesday)

Sadly our camping season came to a close this past
weekend. I want to thank everyone for such a great camping
season. It makes life very enjoyable to have such a great
camping family at lost acres. I have met so many great
people and have so many friends that are always willing to
help you. thanks again for a great season and your
friendship,
stay in touch
Bert
Thank you to everyone for your support and for
making my job so fun. I want to thank Michele for her
assistance and wish her good luck in taking my place.
Going home for the winter is hard for me and it seemed
easier having one last night of fun. Thank you to Shane
and
Bob for being so amazing and donating both time &
equipment. Thanks to Geo (and silent partner Betty), for
pulling it all together & providing us with some
giggles as well. And a huge thanks to Rex for allowing us
to continue our last hurrah. It could not have happened
without him!
I sit here this morning with a terrible feeling of
sadness, knowing that we have finished another season,
(AND looking at the boxes to unpack & laundry to
do...yuk!). This year went by way too fast & I am
already anticipating next year. The friendships I have
made are priceless to me & I am going to miss everyone
this winter, so please keep in touch.
